Jam-packed boutiques, jewellery studios and galleries, a breath-taking fashion show with chic collections, people dancing until the early hours of the morning in the cafés, bars and courtyards of Cologne's Belgian quarter: the new fashion and design event le bloc 09, organised by StadtRevue Verlag and 40 other promoters, exceeded all expectations. At the beginning of June more than 5,000 visitors flooded into the Belgian quarter to familiarise themselves with the creative scene and join in the celebration of it.

The highlight was the huge le bloc 09 fashion show in the Maastrichter Straße car park, where internationally successful, Cologne designers presented their collections. The 4711 evening dresses and accessories by Chang 13 attracted a great deal of attention. This special collection is currently on display in Glockengasse. However, whether the garments will be manufactured for the general public soon is yet to be determined.
